People are so fascinated about achieving something for free. Look at me, I would have never been writing this blog if I were to pay any registration fees for it. I love free food passes....I remember back in Guwahati, my hometown, me,Saurabh n Anmol would go hunting houses in our colony in search of food. Vibhu's place was d best to eat. It was so much fun back den......specially loved breaking into homes vid daughters in it !!
Recently I had this opportunity to travel in one of the best trains our country has to offer....RAJDHANI EXP.
I noticed that this train has abundant food supply. If u thought u r gonna sleep till late in this train....forget all about it. The so called train attendants will start torturing you right from 6 a.m or even before that. They serve tea @ 6. Somehow if you shoo him off....he'll b back vid a bang in an hour or so. now comes the breakfast. It's always right on time. As the breakfast session is about to come to an end.....they serve u vid breadsticks and soup. They call it appetizer for lunch. Now that u finish ur soup, BEWARE.....They are watching you !! Did u even think of escaping your lunch? You get over vid your lunch and you try to take a short nap.....don't forget to make it really short because they are coming. They nag you yet again vid their evening tea. Then comes the evening snacks. Soup vid breadsticks again. Dinner is served back to back
Now there are a certain group of people...I heard dem saying, it's free. They come prepared to sleep all the time in the train and yet eat every bit of it.Because it's free....
How do they manage doing that ? They wake up vid a jump on the start of the torture.....finish what is served.Packed a few things left in the tray,like sugar or milk packets, back to sleep. Wake up on the next call of breakfast, eat and pack, back to sleep. This process goes on....sumtimes packing pickle,Tea bags,Frooty etc.
But anyways I enjoy eating for free, free rides,free movie tickets,free tours,free gift vouchers, free entry to disco's, free booze. Free is such a free word. It sounds like cool wind blowing past our ears.
